Abstract –
Enterprise resource
planning (ERP) is business management software typically a
suite of integrated applications that a company can use to
collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business
activities, including: product planning, cost, development,
manufacturing or service delivery, marketing and sales. The
purpose of this study is to establish the challenges faced by
organisations regarding ERP systems implementation. The study
focuses on three organisations, one of which is from
the private sector and the other two are from public sector.
In this study, a qualitative methodology has been applied to
determine the challenges of ERP systems implementation in
Zambia. An extensive review of literature has been done. The
literature revealed that despite some organizations facing
challenges undertaking ERP implementations, others have
enjoyed the benefits that the systems have brought to the
organizations. Most of the respondents believe that ERP
systems have at least a moderate chance of hurting their
businesses because of the potential for implementation
problems.
New proposal algorithm for localization at WSN
Blerina Zanaj, Elema Zanaj
Abstract— finding the exact nodes positioning is a principal problem for reducing the overall localization time duration for all nodes in network. Different methods are applied to try to reduce the convergence time of network but as well to conserve a good performance and energy in sensor nodes. The localization techniques need to have some nodes in network that know their positions and then those will help in identifying the location of other nodes. In this paper are demonstrated some existing algorithms and it is introduced as well a theoretical proposal in order to somehow reduce interference in wireless communication. The experimental results allow us to compare our algorithm performance with other algorithms.
Porous media description using 3D nonuniform generalized cylinders and computedtomography images
Ndeye Fatou Ngom, Cheikh H.T.Cherif Ndiaye, Oumar Niangshma
Abstract - In this paper, computer Tomographic techniques is used to study complex porous media in three dimensions. A methodology for extracting topologically equivalent networks of porous media from soil images samples is presented. The proposed description approximates the pore space using non-uniform generalized cylinders. We show that the non-uniform generalized cylinders matches more the real soil pore galleries than other primitives such as uniform generalized cylinders. Formula to compute quantitative characteristics on the generalized cylinder like length, tortuosity, volume and soil properties characteristics such as hydraulic conductivity are also proposed. New concepts (degree of compactness and variability) are used to compare the different representations. The description is applied to real soil 3D CT images and the results are compared to a previous published paper based on the same data. The tools we used enabled us to have a more autonomous and dynamic computation.
Multi Objective QEA for Optimization of EDM Process Parameters
Ankush Kalia, Anoop Kumar Sood
Abstract - Electric
discharge machining (EDM) is a non-conventional material
removal process, used to machine high strength
electrically conductive materials which are hard
to machine using conventional machining methods.
Machining time, quality of the machined part and overall
machining cost basically depends upon material
removal rate (f1), tool wear rate (f2) and
machined surface roughness (f3). During EDM
machining, material removal rate is supposed to be maximum
with minimum surface roughness and tool wear rate. So
it becomes vital to control the parameters which
influence material removal rate, tool wear rate and surface
roughness. In this direction the present study proposes
the application of multi objective Quantum
Evolutionary Algorithm(QEA) for optimization of EDM process
parameters.
Highly Dynamic Networks:
Current Trends and Research
Challenges
Ramesh C Poonia, Shaurya Gupta
Abstract- Today, rapid increment in the population has lead to several hazards like unemployment, poorness and also increment in the heavy traffic. Vehicular Ad-hoc Network plays a vital road to control the traffic and the road safety. It is the main component of Intelligent Transport System and a subset of mobile ad-hoc Network which is very much sufficient for communicating each other with or without fixed infrastructure. The idea behind VANET is road safety, but if we integrate with Mobile Application it could be a boom for humanity.
